Surgical Success Stories

Soddo Christian Hospital - OB Team

The project with the Soddo Christian Hospital in Ethiopia has just completed its first year. It has already had a life-altering impact on women in Ethiopia. Working with Dr. Mark Karnes and his obstetrics team, over 70 women have received surgeries to correct their prolapsed uterus.  Finances often prevent this surgery for many women.  However, this surgery funded by MWAHFE in partnership with the hospital allows the women to have their dignity restored while also giving them the ability to return to their regular lives without pain.  This is truly a miracle for these women and MWAHFE is proud to be a part of it.

Surgical Success Stories - #66 & #67

Mothers With A Heart For Ethiopia sponsors a wonderful program that provides surgeries for women who suffer with UVP, utero-vaginal prolapse. This is a relatively simple condition to treat with surgery but the approx. $350 cost is beyond the means of so many women in Ethiopia. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, MWAHFE is able to sponsor these surgeries and change the lives of these beautiful women. We'd like you to meet them! Our Facebook page has a wonderful album of surgical success stories. You can find it (and like it and share it!) here.
